Fanbiao Li is a Professor of School of Automation at Central South University, Changsha, China. He was born in 1985 in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. He received the B.Sc. degree in applied mathematics in 2008 from Mudanjiang Normal University, Heilongjiang, China, the M.Sc. degree in operational research and cybernetics in 2012 from Heilongjiang University, Harbin, China, and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering in 2015 from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin. He was a Joint Training PhD student with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the University of Adelaide, Adelaide SA, Australia, from December 2013 to March 2015, and he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate from June 2015 to February 2016. In 2016, he joined the Central South University, as an Associate Professor.
Dr. Li's current research interests include complex hybrid dynamical systems (stochastic jump systems, singularly perturbed systems, switched systems), signal processing (digital filter design, signal processing for uncertain systems, optimal filtering), and multi-objective control and optimization techniques. He has published 1 research monographs, and over 50 research papers in international referred journals. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for a number of journals, including IEEE Trans. Fuzzy Systems, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, Cognitive Computation, and IEEE Access. He is also an Associate Editor for the Conference Editorial Board, IEEE Control Systems Society.
