Profile

Chunhui Liu is an Associate Professor in Mechanical/Materials Engineering. The research of Liu's Lab is mainly on "microstructure knowledge-guided advanced manufacturing (shape/performance synergy and intelligent process)": light component precision forming (microstructure evolution law during light alloy hot forming, modeling and coordinated shape/performance control, integrated material preparation and forming, equipment design; high performance light alloy manufacturing (light alloy thermo-mechanical processing, performance regulation, microstructure evolution process, modern physical metallurgy); micro/nano testing, analysis and processing (electron microscopy methods, techniques and theories, in-situ observation and analysis, ultra-high-precision electron beam processing). The research work is mainly published in International Journal of Plasticity, Scientific Reports, Scripta materialia, Materials Science and engineering: A, Materials & Design, Acta materialia, Ultramicroscopy, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing, International journal Magazines of Light materials and Manufacture, Journal of Metals, Chinese Journal of Nonferrous Metals, and Journal of Electron Microscopy, etc. Currently Liu's lab in a large leadership research team "Complex Manufacturing of light-weight components".
