刘惠颖，湖南长沙人， 哲学博士，中南大学社会学特聘教授，硕士生导师，美国教育部富布莱特学者。

研究方向：
主要研究领域为老年社会学和老年医学，在研究取向上注重理论研究和应用研究的结合，在上海、广东、天津、香港等地开展多次社会调查和干预评估研究，积极推动生态瞬时评估法等跨学科研究方法在老年学临床研究方面的应用与发展，开发了国内首套适用于收集中老年人生理-心理-行为即时数据的生态瞬时评估流程。研究方向主要包括：
（1） 社会心理因素对于人口老化和健康的影响（如老年人社会参与和日常行为方式对健康的影响）；
（2） 老年人长期照护与健康服务需求评估和干预；
（3） 就地养老；老年宜居社区；
（4） 可穿戴设备在老年人群中的应用；智慧养老；
