Dr. Zhi-Feng Sheng, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Medicine at the Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, China. His research interests include metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, risk prediction of fracture, and study of rare bone diseases. In 2007, he received his doctoral degree in Endocrinology from Central South University, China. In 1999, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Hengyang Medical College, China. Between 2001 and 2004, he pursued a master’s degree at Central South University, China. From 2008 to 2012, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at the College of Life Sciences, Hunan Normal University, China. He received the young investigator award from the International Osteoporosis Foundation in Australia. He was selected for the 531 Talent Program of Central South University and the 225 High-level Talents Project of Hunan Province in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He has been a member of the International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society since 2006. In 2013, he become a committee member of the Chinese Medical Association and the vice-president of Osteoporosis and Bone Mineral Research Society Youth Committee. Furthermore, he becomes a fellow of Internal Medicine Branch of Endocrinology and Metabolism Department of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Chinese Endocrinology Society in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
