Design of NiCoCrAl eutectic high entropy alloys by combining machine learning with CALPHAD method

摘要:A method to rapidly locate the eutectic composition in Ni-Co-Cr-Al system by combining machine learning (ML) with thermodynamic calculations was proposed. Under the guidance of this method, two FCC+BCC eutectic high entropy alloys (EHEAs) were successfully found by experimental verification. Thereafter, the lamellar eutectic structure and mechanical properties of Ni68-wCo16Cr16Alw HEAs were further investigated. The results indicated that Ni68-wCo16Cr16Alw HEAs consisted of FCC(L1(2)) phase (Al-poor) and BCC(B-2) phase (Al-rich), and increasing the Al content promoted the production of BCC phase. Moreover, as the Al content increases, the microhardness of the Ni68-wCo16Cr16Alw HEAs increased but decreased in fracture ductility. Of these, the Ni49Co16Cr16Al19 EHEA exhibited excellent compression strength(3006.9 MPa) and good fracture ductility(45.5%), with microhardness approaching to 326.3 HV.
