Description of Research Group:中南大学资源循环研究院，原资源循环与环境材料研究中心，成立于2010年1月，2014年4月升级更名为资源循环研究院。研究院依托学校有色金属学科群组建而成，致力于有色金属资源循环、清洁冶金及环境材料制备的基础研究和技术开发应用，拥有国内一流的分析检测、工程化研究条件和创新能力，是一个集人才培养、科学研究、工程转化于一体的综合性研究机构。

Zhipeng Xu is an Associate Professor in the School of Metallurgy and Environment.

His researches focus on resource recycling of non-ferrous metals, efficient separation and extraction of scattered metals, and fabrication of functional materials. Some academic achievements have been made in the fields of efficient separation and extraction of tellurium, indium, and gallium, recycling of copper anode slime, Gallium arsenide scrap, and utilization of metallurgical wastes. He led andparticipated more than 10 National provincial and ministerial level research projects, published more than 20 papers indexed by SCI and more than 20 invention patents. He won 4 first prizes for scientific and technological progress at the provincial and ministerial level.
