Zhipeng Xu is an Associate Professor in the School of Metallurgy and Environment. His researches focus on resource recycling of non-ferrous metals, efficient separation and extraction of scattered metals, and fabrication of functional materials. Some academic achievements have been made in the fields of efficient separation and extraction of tellurium, indium, and gallium, recycling of copper anode slime, Gallium arsenide scrap, and utilization of metallurgical wastes. He led andparticipated more than 10 National provincial and ministerial level research projects, published more than 20 papers indexed by SCI and more than 20 invention patents. He won 4 first prizes for scientific and technological progress at the provincial and ministerial level.
