中国计算机学会理论计算机科学专委会委员、湖南省计算机学会常务理事、湖南省通信学会理事、中南大学学术委员会委员；
主要研究方向：网络优化、机器学习；主讲本科生和研究生《算法设计与分析》、《大型数据库技术》、《数据库系统实现》和《数据库设计》等课程，“编译原理”国家精品课程主讲教师（排名第四）；
获省部级科技进步二等奖2项（排名第二/第三）、省级教学成果一等奖1项（排名第四）/二等奖1 项（排名第三）、校级教学成果一等奖1项（排名第一）；
主持科技创新2030重大专项子课题、国家自然科学基金面上、教育部博士点基金、湖南省自然科学基金、湖南省科技计划、中国博士后基金、企业合作项目等课题30余项；
近年来在VTM、TOSN、TNSE、TVT、Information Fusion、Artificial Intelligence Review、ComCom、CMPB、CMIG、电子与信息学报等期刊发表论文50余篇，出版专著2部；
TVT编委。
