Zhou Xiaoguang, Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor. She received her bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from Central South University of Technology (now Central South University) in 1992, 1997 and 2005 respectively. From 1992.7 to 1994.9, she was engaged in in Yueyang Paper Mill, Hunan Province. From 1997.4 to now, she has been engaged in teaching and research in the surveying, mapping and geographic information discipline of Central South University. From 2002.09 to 2005.12, she was the assistant to the director of the Department of Surveying and Mapping; 2009.01-2011.3, she was the deputy director of the Department of Surveying and Mapping. From 2001.2 to 2005.3, she engaged in doctoral dissertation research work in the National Geomatics Center of China; 2008.1-2008.12 Visiting scholar at the Center for Remote Sensing and Mapping, University of Georgia.

She mainly engaged in the teaching of geographic information science and technology, spatiotemporal data modeling and updating and other courses, and researching of spatiotemporal (including crowdsourcing) data modeling, updating and service. She has successively host more than 10 projects, including 3 general National Natural Science Foundation of China; 1 key project of the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, etc. She has published more than 100 academic papers in international and domestic academic journals such as "International Journal of Geographical Information Science" and "Journal of Surveying and Mapping". Published 2 academic monographs; obtained 9 authorized invention patents and 8 software intellectual property rights.
