Profile
Fang Liu is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Automation Science and Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Engineering from Waseda University, Japan. She is a recipient of the National High-Level Young Talent program, as well as the Hunan Provincial Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation, the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Foundation Award, the Hunan Provincial Youth Talent Program, the Central South University Innovation-Driven Talent Program, and the Shenghua Outstanding Talent Program. She previously conducted postdoctoral research at the Control Technology Division of Fuji Electric in Tokyo and served as a researcher at the Institute of Environmental Studies at Waseda University.
Her research directions are oriented toward national development goals and major energy needs, focusing primarily on interdisciplinary research in control, electrical engineering, and intelligent systems. Her work includes the study of renewable energy power system stability and control, renewable energy generation technologies, new-type power systems, distributed distribution systems, and cyber-physical systems. She also investigates time-delay-related robust control problems in complex systems and network time delays, including time-delay system stability, the impact of time delays on power grids, time delays in neural networks, and time delays in fuzzy systems. She has led 30 projects at the national, provincial, and industrial levels, published over 100 papers in top-tier international journals and conference proceedings, authored four books and holds more than 20 patents and software copyrights.
