    Description of Research Group:Professor Xinhai Li, who is the Group leader,  is one of the National ‘Ten Thousand Plan’ technology entrepreneurship leading talents, who is also serve in the metallurgical physical chemistry academic committee of China nonferrous metals society as a chairman. He is expertise in the fundamental research of metallurgy, materials and electrochemical and its corresponding technology. Focused on utilizing the basic theory of metallurgical physical chemistry, he developed the large scale production techniques for manufacturing the anode materials, cathode materials, and power battery in the lithium-ion battery field. Based on the outstanding R&D achievements, he won 1 prize at national level (second prize of national science and technology progress), and 4 first prizes at provincial and ministerial level.

Personal Information

Guochun Yan, who is borned in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province at January 1988, He has been engaged in the research on the interfacial performance of electrode materials and electrolyte of high voltage Lithium-ion batteries in the doctoral stage. During the post doctoral stage, he focused on the study of electrolyte for the next generation of low cost, long cycle and high power sodium ion batteries. 

He presided over one Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one Youth Project of Natural Science Foundation of Hunan province, one innovation and entrepreneurship technology investment project in Hunan Province, and one university-enterprise cooperation projects. Until now, he has published more than 30 SCI papers in international famous journals as first author or corresponding author, such as Nature Communications, Advanced Energy Materials, Journal of Power Sources, Journal of the Electrochemical Society, Electrochemica Acta and other international recognised journals. In addition, he has applied more than 15 patents, including 5 authorized patents and 3 European patents.
