Jiaqi Chen, Ph.D., has served as an associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Central South University since 2015. His general research is in the field of pavement engineering, including multi-scale virtual simulation of granular materials for transportation infrasctructure, dynamic response and life-cycle evaluation of pavement structure, meso-mechanical behavior of reclaimed asphalt pavement, and pavement-environment interaction.
He has authored or co-authored more than 30 journal and conference publications on pavement engineering, including one ESI highly cited paper. He has more than 900 citations in the last 5 years.
