Xiaoheng Deng received Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, China, in 2005. He is a Full Professor servicing as the vice dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Central South University. He is also the director of the Engineering Center of Data Sensing and Switching Equipment of Hunan Province and the Executive Director of the Hunan Computing Society. Prof Deng is also a senior member of CCF, a member of CCF Pervasive Computing Council, and a member of IEEE and ACM. He was a chair of the academic committee of CCF YOCSEF CHANGSHA from 2009 to 2010. In 2008, he accepted a prize for excellent teachers of the southwest aluminum industry. He was supported by the Foundation for Young key Teacher of Hunan province in 2011. His research interests include edge computing, distributed system, wireless network, online social network. With solid theoretical knowledge and rich experiences in industry, He presided over and participated over 30 research projects including NSFC, National 863 Program, Key Program of the Ministry of Education of China, Doctoral Found of Ministry of Education of China, Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province, Technology Plan Program of Hunan Province and a lots of enterprise information system projects. Professor Deng has published more than 150 papers in authoritative international journals and conferences, including IEEE TMC,TVT, IOT, TNSE, and ICC, Globlecom, WCNC and so on. He has applied or granted 10 patents, coauthored two chapter books, and won 2 awards of the province and ministry of science and technology achievement.
