刘元东,湖南邵阳人,博士,国家科技部和自然科学基金委评审专家、教育部科技和学位评审专家湖南省和广东省科技评审专家、长沙市科技评审专家,国际生物湿法冶金学会秘书、Frontiers in Bioscience-LandmarkFrontiers in Bioleaching等国际杂志编委及审稿人。主持或参与国家级省部级等项目10多项,发表SCI论文60多篇,获得专利30多项,获得软件著作权20多项,获得省级等奖励荣誉项。指导研究生数十名,获研究生国家奖等。
