Personal Information

     Shuping Peng, M.D., Professor of Central South University, director of cell biology laboratory at School of Basic Medicine. After getting her Ph.D in2006，she went and worked as a postdoc at Yale University and Medical University of South Carolina，where she was  engaged in the research of oncology and stem cell biology, mainly studying the molecular mechanism of pluripotency maintainment of pluripotency factor Lin28 in embryonic stem cells, and cancer therapy through targeting ovarian cancer stem cells. In 2011, she was back and become a PI of Cancer Research Institute of Central South University, the main research interest is focusing on the role and regulatory network of non-coding RNA in malignant diseases (ovarian cancer and osteosarcoma), the mechanism and regulation of directional differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.

Her research work has been published in Nano Energy，Bone Res, Chem Eng J ，Oncogene，Cell Death Dis, Cell Proliferat，Stem Cells，Biochem Soc T, Sci Rep, J Biomed Nanotechnol，J Bio Chem, Stem Cell Res and other peer-reviewed SCI Journals at a total over 100 research articles (51 of them are first- or corresponding-authored ) and has been cited over 700 times. She has been serving as editorial board member of 3 international journals and international peer-reviewed reviewer of 18 peer-reviewed journals. She participated in the compilation of monographs "Cancer " and "non coding RNA and tumor"

She has presided over and undertaken more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of education's new century talent support program, and the natural science foundation of Hunan Province. He has won the "Young Scientist Award for cancer research" of Japan Cancer Association, the "new century excellent talent support program" of the Ministry of education, Hunan Province "excellent doctoral dissertation", "the first prize of the 10th Hunan Medical Science and Technology Award", the "sublimation education plan" of Central South University, and "tianyifei young excellent teacher award" of China Telecom. "The second prize of the 11th Hunan Medical Science and Technology Award" and the first prize of the 15th excellent academic paper of Natural Science in Hunan Province "were awarded the Lu Huilin foundation teacher research award of Central South University, the 10th Youth Science and technology award of Hunan Province, and the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, with 23 declared and authorized patents.
