Biography

Dr. Jinjing Shi obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Central South University in July 2013. Funded by the Chinese government scholarship, she pursued visiting research at Chonbuk National University, South Korea from Aug. 2011 to Aug. 2012, under the supervision of Prof. Moon Ho Lee, Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea.

She holds multiple prestigious academic titles: Member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, Principal Investigator of Hunan Outstanding Youth Fund for Natural Science, Outstanding Young Scholar of Changsha, Core Young Faculty of Hunan Provincial Universities, and recipient of the University-level “Shenghua Lieying” Talent Program at Central South University.

Research & Teaching Achievements

Dr. Shi has led 3 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), over 10 provincial research grants (including Hunan Provincial Natural Science Fund and CCF-Baidu Pinecone Fund), plus 3 provincial teaching reform projects. She has also participated in more than 10 major research programs, such as China’s National High-Tech R&D Program (863 Program), NSFC projects, MOE Doctoral Fund and Korea’s World Class University Project.

She has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals including IEEE TPAMI, TKDE, TIFS, TCYB, TNNLS and SCIENCE CHINA Information Sciences. Her academic outputs also consist of one monograph funded by the National Publication Fund of China and one textbook. To date, 19 Chinese invention patents and 1 US invention patent have been authorized.
