Personal Information

Zhang Hongliang, born in July 1979, male, Linxiang, Hunan, doctor of engineering, professor, doctoral tutor, deputy director of the Institute of Light Metals and Industrial Electrochemistry, member of the TMS Society of the United States and the Chinese Society of Nonferrous Metals. The main academic direction is intelligent metallurgy, including micro-mesoscopic-macro multi-scale behavior in the smelting process, first-principles calculation of battery materials, artificial intelligence and big data in the smelting process, and two undergraduate courses ( Application of computer in metallurgy, Scientific Computing and Virtual Reality ) and one postgraduate course.


【Scientific Research Experience】At present, it is presiding over one project of national key research and development plan, two projects of national natural science fund, one project of Hunan natural science fund and several projects of enterprise horizontal.  The core R & D personnel are responsible for one NSFC project, one NSFC key project and one NSFC emergency management project.  Complete the NSFC Youth Fund, the Ministry of Education Doctoral Fund, etc.


【Academic Result】More than 70 national invention patents and 40 authorized invention patents have been applied in related fields.  80 papers were published, and nearly 60 papers were retrieved by SCI / EI, focusing on reactor optimization based on multi-physical field simulation, electrochemical reaction mechanism behavior, metallurgical and material microscopic properties, battery material doping and modification.


【Industrialization Achievements】Nearly 20 horizontal projects have been hosted since 2011, with a total funding of more than 10 million.  As a core member, he participated in the series of aluminum electrolysis control and energy-saving technologies, such as ‘ high efficiency and energy-saving control technology of aluminum reduction cells and popularization and application ’. He was promoted and applied in half of aluminum plants in the whole industry, and won one second-class national science and technology progress award and four first-class provincial and ministerial awards.


【Research Team】:A multi-scale simulation and optimization research team of 16 graduate students ( including 5 PhDs ) in metallurgy and materials is being mentored with 3-4 Masters and 1-2 PhDs per year ( mentored by Professor Li Jie or Professor Zhang Hongliang ).
